I think this is why I appreciated the creator of Faith, he used himself as a reference for rotoscoping in a pixel digital horror game where the cutscenes are rotoscopes. He set it up and acted it out and used that. Yet, ppl didn't try learning like he did, instead just...trace. It's just ick to me.

It personally is basically assembling an idea line-by-line, using its basic understanding of items. It also sometimes rotoscopes over itself having posed

yes this is true, but tbf yt thumbnails really dont matter much, i usually have really gross looking rotoscopes that are very visible when you look closer but yt thumbnails are very small and people look at them for so little time that it rlly doesnt matter as long as u get the point across

This *does* mean I could maybe see a market for movies where an AI, I don't know, overlays/rotoscopes/whatever over actual performances. Some sort of "you can BE Thor in Avengers: Endgame" thing. But I doubt the demand could be strong enough to make up for the costs.
