The eh: no clipping mask-> merge as of yet, the undo is in a kinda complex menu system like blender instead of having a button outside

I animate in RoughAnimator. Super cheap, very primitive. Absolutely no Ai in RoughAnimator! I draw everything by hand, backgrounds hand-painted and scanned in. My animation is janky af but I think it adds to the humor.

I hope everyone following me remembers this little maniac. I haven't posted a Stoat Quest episode in a while because I've been working on a big 3+ minute short. It's bonkers. Stoat goes berserk. It's cathartic. Almost done.

RoughAnimator works for me, but there are limitations so I don't think most professionals recommend it. But for little stuff, it's quite fun and easy. This animation is over 3 minutes, and you can see I get better as it progresses.

Kinda depends on what you already have experience with. Learned RoughAnimator in less than a few hours, and I'd argue Clip is only easy if you already have experience with it as a drawing application. Same goes for people who use Procreate.

i would like to animate in roughanimator more i just dont have enough patience to Draw on it. the way it functions is kinda tedious.. it works very well i just get annoyed at how inconvenient stuff like changing tool settings is. also idk how brushes work

one of the only subscriptions i can tolerate for art programs is ibis paint membership. it isnt overpriced and it works! ive been using ibis for a loong time so im willing to pay to make it better to use. i have roughanimator which was a single purchase and its actually awesome i js dont use it much
