A closeup of a marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of a little monster sitting on the shoulder of a person. The monster is grasping the person’s ear, and is grinning with a wide pointy-toothed smile. It is dark, and the monster is horned, has long orange fur, huge glowing eyes, purple hands and feet (that also look like hands) with long orange claws, and they are perched neatly, knees against their chest, with one thane on their knee, the other pulling on the person’s ear. This is a representation of the “devil on my shoulder”, a naughty creature that wants me to do naughty things, like hiding all the spoons (I’m in my 50s, committing actual evil is way too much work). My monster is snuggly, and is friends with the other voices in my head, especially Clive. They have a lot in common. A marker, ink, and paint pen of a yellow emoji face looking tired and grumpy, looking slightly right. The emoji has a blue ice bag on the left top of their face, and they are wrapped in a light pink blanket decorated with darker pink bunny head silhouettes. The front overlap of the blanket on the right is holding a TV remote. This is the emoji that doesn’t exist that shows how I feel when I’ve had a migraine, but might be getting another, without a real break between. A marker, ink, and paint pen cartoon of a bunch of white fuzzy monsters grouped together, all smiling with sharp teeth, and staring at the viewer. Several of the ones in front have hands with pointy sharp fingers. One monster, far right front, is lying on their side, giving a thumbs up. The background is grey, darkening to black, in which many pairs of eyes can be seen. There are more monsters than you thought! “Talk to the Fin” (detail) - A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of an impatient, eye-rolling mermaid. This detail of the drawing shows only their head and upper body. Several species are mooshed together here, including the painted frog fish and the psychedelic frog fish (and, sort of, human). The upper body of the mermaid is rosy brown human tones with a white line pattern outlined in red. The head is shaped like an anglerfish seen head-on, with a wide frowning mouth, and eyes just above the mouth, no visible nose. The eyes are rolled up and to the right. The upper body is the same tones to the navel, with breasts concealed by crossed arms. The hands are finned, with no fingers.
