OTD in 2022, Ukrainian defense forces liberated Borodianka in the Kyiv region. The devastation left after a month of russian occupation was immense. At least 171 people were killed, w/ nearly 60 still missing. Many civilians were buried under the rubble as russia deliberately bombed their homes.

OTD in 2022, Yahidne village of Chernihiv region was liberated. For nearly a month, russians held 367 villagers hostage in a school basement—including 72 children and 5 babies. 21 people died: 10, mostly elderly, from inhumane conditions; others were executed by the occupiers.
