Sonunda dünyayı bırakıp gittiler.
Sen hiç gitmeyecek gibisin değil mi?

Máel Rubai was born in Ireland #OTD in 642. He trained as a monk at Bennchor (Bangor), moved to Scotland in 671 and founded monastery of Apor Crossan (Applecross, Wester Ross) in 673. He revived Christianity in the northern Hebrides after a gap of half a century. 📸Brian Gillman #medievalsky

Aug 27: Feast of Máel Rubai (642-722), Irish founder-abbot of Apor Crossan (Applecross, Wester Ross). This Scottish date differs from the 21 April found in earlier Irish sources. It is believed this is due to a mix-up with Rufus of Capua. 📸Brian Gillman

And today's poem at @reckoningmag.bsky.social, by Fatima E. -- "A rubāʿī for the rescued pangolin of Ravi flood."

I love this one so. "a stranger’s hands became a shore: gathered him whole."

Melissa Chapman • 19h • BREAKING: Hamas militias have killed 22-year-old Odai Naser Saadi, one of the leaders of the anti-Hamas protest movement in Gaza. He was kidnapped, tortured for four hours, and then executed. His body was dumped at the doorstep of his family's home, with a chilling message: "This is the price for those who criticize Hamas." https://t.me/ghfhf11/70845 According to a Hamas opposition channel on Telegram, Hamas thugs kidnapped 22 year old Udai Nasser Saadi al-Rubai, tortured him for 4 hours, then dragged him with a rope round his neck back to his family with the warning that this is the punishment for slandering Hamas. He died from his wounds. His family members are armed and seeking revenge. They have identified Saadi Kahil from the Qassam Brigade as one of the perpetrators. #TheGazaYouDontSee nf11/70845

Graphic Content: Hamas executed 22-year-old Palestinian activist Odai Nasser Saadi Al-Rubai, one of the leaders of last week’s anti-Hamas protests in Gaza. He was kidnapped, tortured for four hours, and then killed. His body was dumped at the doorstep of his family’s home with a chilling message: “This is the fate of those who criticize Hamas.” His body was covered in marks of savage torture—a horrifying testament to the unbearable abuse he was subjected to. What Uday endured is beyond comprehension, a brutal price for daring to speak out against Hamas. The silence from human rights organizations and those who claim to stand with Palestine is not just disappointing—it is disgraceful and shameful. Silence in the face of this horror is complicity.
