Today I submitted some strange sonnets collages that are part of a series of "ruinscapes" (per Georges Simmel) and I am just so grateful there was time to fine-tune them last night but also wondering how much longer I can live on 4-5 hours of sleep. #WritingLife

It’s Sondheim’s Piranesi, his ode to ruinscapes, his paean to phantasms as permanence. And the decision to go with such bare melodic lines, such bare staging was so subversive.
