After the strike on Yandex's Vladimir datacenter, YandexPay, YandexGo, YandexMusic and YandexTaxi appear to all be non functional. We might be 2 attacks on Sberbank datacenters away from a possible run on Russia's banks.

Kinda funny how stupid and greedy Australian banks are, or think we are. Probably don't take industry policy from a govt protected cartel looking at a tremendous opportunity to clip some tickets going away.

Banks say a ‘national AI stack’ will be crucial for economic security
AI policy should ensure Australia develops sovereign capability to train and run the latest models in data centres on-shore, despite questions about Firmus.

Happy Thanksgiving Day to all my Canadian friends/followers! We walked off last night big feast with a walk at a local park to watch the salmon return to spawn under sunny skies & falling maple leaves. Luckily, we didn't run into any hungry bears feasting on the banks of the river.

The original post was misleading. Russian influence operations run on SIM banks and phone farms, residential proxies, and cheap servers rented across many countries in order not to depend from one traceable point. So the Yandex bombing would not have affected their operations.

also, with Harris/Biden's second run, the thing that happened is that the most invested, radicalized, eager young people, the people who would run phone banks and knock on doors and get other voters out were all REALLY against the genocide in Gaza and what did Harris and Biden's team DO to them?

You aren't feeling the Medicaid cuts yet, but SNAP cuts are already causing hunger and a run on food banks.

And don't forget:

- "Native American Wizards"
- the anti-slavery character whose objections to slavery being annoying later being retconned on Twitter to being black
- the big-nosed Goblins who are greedy and run the banks
- The freed slave who became a hopeless alcoholic because of freedom

The only reason republicans don’t like social security is that their buddies at the banks and investment banks don’t get a cut.

They want the money to be handled by private hands for their 1% commission. That there’s several trillion dollars not earning their banker buddies money drives them crazy.
Senate candidates run on raising Social Security taxes for higher incomes to prevent benefit cuts
Social Security is projected to dip into insolvency and force a 22% benefit cut in 2032, or less than six years, meaning the class of senators elected this year will have to address the issue.

They are trying to run a country like a hedge fund which can’t work. HFs generate returns because they farm out wing-risk to banks and govts. So there will be some pain. How much depends on when the bros will come to their senses. The sooner, the better.

RBI opens a special dollar window for state-run OMCs starting October 12.

By routing oil import payments through designated banks instead of the open market, the central bank aims to reduce downward pressure on the INR.

When Trump causes a global financial crisis and Snotty Scott tells us don't worry, your money's safe in the bank, do you think that'll stop a run on the banks? Who'll believe him?

There lies the problem with a Treasury Secretary who's a lying partisan clown. A nuclear disaster waiting to happen.

That through line is real. Food banks run on trust, people give so someone can eat and rarely ask where the money went. Does Oregon publish what food assistance spending buys, or is it a black box?

Another suggested response is a run on the banks. Anyone using a big bank that billionaires depend on could open a small account at a local Credit Union in Oct. If Trump then tries to steal the election, we one-click transfer our money to the CU.

Effective? No idea. But it seems worth considering.

I am working on my own projects now. Building a network. Putting food in food banks. I am about to start teaching women how to run for office. We have to work towards the future we want to see even as we build a bulwark against what is and what may happen.
