The trailer for Rune Factory 6 making me want to fire up Rune Factory Frontier again, this time with a cheat that allows me to ignore runeys. 10/10 game, but the runey system is so goddamn terrible it drags it down to a 4/10 game. Miserable busywork garbage system.

the architecture in this game is insane btw. rf2 might be my favorite (or frontier because i hate myself more than i hate runeys) but something weird was going on in kardia before they tried to lock in on a sense of aesthetic consistency for the series lol

That sounds interesting, and an good way to make farming more important. Frontiers had an very complex farming system, where crops grew alot faster in areas with runeys, alot slower in dead areas with no runeys. And your growing areas needed to be in balance too. I spent hours figuring out how to

Funny thing is that the first time I tried replaying it on an emulator I activated a cheat for Max runeys but the game didn't feel the same so I played it regularly. I think it's good it just needs some tweaking. It would force me to spend whole days just removing and adding runeys from zones.

I thought it was gonna be another runeys ripoff like stardew but then the bunny man comes out with his "bargains" and I'm like oh hang on this is something different

Thank you so much!!!! I used to love the runeys in frontier because they made the world feel so lively and pretty, the only issue was that keeping them alive was the worst

I really would love to stream Rune Factory Frontier some time but I'm always torn on whether or not to cheat the runeys cuz on one hand, I don't really like the idea of using the cheat for a streamed series. On the other, I can absolutely NOT be fucked about the Runey system. Fking boring ass grind

I think these bachelorettes you would loveeeeeeee. the two girls are named iris and theyre one being split into two, then Eunice shes an innkeepers daughter, and then cinnamon she lives in this clock tower with her sister candy and they help with magic and runeys.

Man, I really liked Rune Factory Frontier, but the Runey system was a slog. I had a modded Wii to set it to max all the time and it made it so much more fun. If they do port or remake it, I hope the Runeys also get a rework.

I think it's like inbetween 1 and 2 and 3 in with how it plays, but I loved having to suck the runeys up
