Haiti’s Rural Code: History, Boyer, and Why the Narrative Still Divides the Island
When I created a video talking about Jean-Pierre Boyer and the unification that many Dominicans forget or don't take into consideration when discussing the history of the island before it became two countries, I received a comment: You left out the rural code. I took this comment to mean that I had purposefully left something out, which, if I hadn't, would have aligned with the commenter's ideology or reasoning.
