Ideally George’d win every race ofc but it’d still have been so poetic if after winning the russtappen battle in Baku last week he’d chased Max to the end this week and, like Max then, narrowly lost the russtappen race to get p2 while Max won Bahrain today 😩

This weekend: not only robbed at the literal edge of a russtappen race to the checkered flag, my driver’s curse (aka his boss) is back so he dnf due to another power unit issue, effectively ending his world championship fight ☺️🔫

ok being srs & taking out the fun shipping aspect of russtappen for a moment, I was looking forward to a world championship fight bw them cus I like rivals who have a bit of personal tension bw them rather than a cutesy PR friendship. I like a bit of drama with my sports 😏
this on repeat is the season everyone wanted, the season we should have had 😔

It’s unfair but I can’t help resenting the kid for getting in the way of the russtappen title fight that I wanted/expected, for all the unbelievable luck he’s had this year while my driver faced one issue after another to the point some ppl cry sabotage. But life’s unfair ☺️

So much mirroring between this week and Baku last week - George DID catch up and there WAS a chance with that SC restart at the end for them to race for the win again - but alas the one difference is the return of his curse which is too dark, too powerful of a force for russtappen to overcome 💔
