After Borgarnes, we swung north to Húsavik (what a stunner of a place), then eastwards before heading to Goðafoss, the waterfall of the gods.

We mentioned puffins, those cute little fellas that you sit and watch for hours. Iceland has some wonderful places to watch them. Time to go looking for puffins, so off to the Faroe Islands we go, landing in Vágar and making this island our base.

Mykines is said to be the best place to view the cute little birds, but also try Mulafossur, and it’s free.

More “Athens Ambling”, a city we never tire of. So easy to get around with trams and trains, (always use the Uber app if cabbing it - there are some dodgy cabbies out there) and just so much history around nearly every corner.
