Talked to the owner. There are TWELVE in the US. Less than 2K were made in '94 as a limited reincarnation of the MG which was long out of production, updated w/the Rover V8, etc.
Can not believe we saw it! May never see another.

Factoid: 2026 is the centenary of Britain’s 1st Grand Prix which was held at Brooklands on Aug 7, 1926 which begs the Q whether this MG RV8 in its 1993 brochure was photographed there?

Dead since 1980, the MGB made a surprise return in much-modified form as the limited production MG RV8, which debuted at the 1992 Birmingham Show. Bodyshells were made by British Motor Heritage, and the cars were effectively handbuilt at Cowley and fitted with Rover's 3.9-litre V8. #carbluesky
