The land has toxic waste & can’t be disturbed. Nature has rewilded the area. It’s only safe to walk on.

The turnout tonight on the fields is a real tonic - people really love this place #RyebankFields 🌿 - people really love ‘these places’. Our #Wassail was loud and proud 🪘🔔 and the spiced cider was heavenly #SaveRyebankFields
One of our Year 5&6 clubs @minimastersart.bsky.social at St Johns RCPS #Chorlton created tree tokens 🔨 for our very own Mini Masters Arty Cherry Tree 🍒, our precious little sponsored tree within #RyebankFields #CommunityOrchard (under threat of destruction) It’ll be looking might fine for Wassailing

✨ Season’s Greetings to all our #RyebankFields community, wherever you are. Some photos and footage here of our candlelit Solstice celebrations, the launch of the star trail with wintry singing led by the wonderful Jules Gibb. We sprinkled a little magic across the Fields ✨

What is needed is social housing with necessary amenities . This lot are in hoc to the developers and can't be trusted. Also people in urban areas need green spaces too, so talk of putting all new houses there just shifting the burden onto someone else and urban wildlife. #ryebankfields

Earlier this week @ChorltonLabour councillors attended an excellent meeting, arranged by them, between members of the Friends of Ryebank Fields @ryebankfields and MCC planners to enable FoRF to ask questions around planning policy and process.
