They’re finished! This is “Influence,” one of eight new small artworks celebrating insects. Each one can sit on a shelf or hang on a wall and each has its own fortune from a cookie as part of the piece…

I’ve had a long burning love affair with Pipevine Swallowtail butterflies. I first discovered one maybe ten years ago, at the end of its lifecycle, crawling on the ground near a trail. It let me hold it and have my photo taken with it and I was smitten…

That little red dot means that “Dissonance: No Worries” sold on the opening night of the Sac Open Studios preview show. But don’t worry, I’ll have more in the series with me for the weekend! Sep 19-20, 10am-5pm visit sacopenstudios.com, we’re location 222 on the map.

These little pieces went home with a new collector today. I guess that the new bee pieces wouldn’t last long… but there’s still some other wonderful insects available!

Come by Studio #222 on the Sac Open Studio map this weekend to see what I’ve still got…

Have you ever considered how a bird makes a nest? Have you ever tried to build one yourself? I have, it’s not as easy as you might imagine. It’s much easier to get put an artwork of a nest and put it on your wall. Just sayin’.
