#PortraitThursday — Colossal marble head of Hadrian from Sagalassos, c. AD 120–125. Found in the Roman baths in 2007, it belonged to an acrolithic statue nearly 5m tall. Remarkably, traces of red pigment survived on Hadrian’s carefully arranged curls when the head was excavated.
