I’m always open to correction. This isn’t the case on my campus or in the experience of any professor I know. No, students aren’t often very conservative; that hardly means samethink. But that’s anecdotal. I look forward to the research you will share, which you’re definitely not making up, right?

The criticism of a living in an echo chamber (samethink tank) is actually true on all social media as each set of toys inside the box have their particular majority political output. The problem with thinking you're on the "right one" is none of these places are driven by solutions, just virality.

I can't think of a time when voting actually changed anything particularly for the better, it just offsets when things occur for now or for later driven by the same people or samethink. Somewhere between this situation right now and soon we have to demand better than this.

Every group does this with any visibility really these days. It develops into very linear samethink and people set it up like a cool kids table and the problem with cool kids tables is nobody checks each other for bad behaviour in fear the cool kids will reject them tomorrow.🤷♀️

Not a fan of "block and block often" attitudes. People get slap happy and samethink tank through shit and live by the seat of assumption only. Where looking the perception of the awful of a group is a thing you're handing out like free candy at real ppl if anything is not exactly like your bubble.

BlueSky has basically become a samethink social media gathering. It's as if everyone with the same way of thinking has been herded into a thought corral. Engagement is limited more to agreements than debate to seek new ideas as freethinkers should be doing.
