I had a great time with it! I don’t want to say much about it cause it attempted to be many things, shifted focus a couple of times, even the narrative style changes but it successfully landed the ending.

(he's famous for endhing his books very intensely in the last 200-300 pages)

Realized I haven't annotated anything in 300 pages. Makes me wonder if I've only just been reading just to finish. 😓
I've saved several lines today tho.
Spook & hope. Ruin gloating to Vin on evil & good men.

...will I be crucified if I only give it a 4/5
Listen I do think this book is overhyped if only because it is hyped to a ridiculous extent.
I did enjoy it! But it did drag, a lot, and the 'sanderlanche' is very short

Struggled with some reading apathy with the slow first few hundred pages. Tonal shift from the rebellion of the first book. More politics. The last 150 pages are a whirlwind (Sanderlanche?) though.

A thoroughly enjoyable time, with the now-classic Sanderlanche of Chekov's Guns firing off at the end and a lighter tone with a nigh-Pratchett level of snark from the narrator. 1/3
