She also did ten minute walks with sandpits, ramps, and (very low) hurdles.
Her therapists say she did great & that she is everyone’s favorite.
And then when she got in Mom’s van, SMIDGE JUMPED UP ON THE SEAT ALL BY HERSELF!!!!!

She is very proud of herself.

Today we had an RAI UK workshop on research workshops (specifically, sandpits) which ended with us discussing the connotations of the word “workshop” (and “sandpits”). I expect nothing less from academia.

Things that are a better investment than Trump Bucks:
Chocolate teapots
Canoe handbreaks
Sahara sandpits
The trump bucks that weren't even worth that much was a good one too.

Traitors with the under 5s group would probably be very similar to the actual Traitors. maybe there'd be more sandpits

Her little stumpy legs 🥺 Dottie is just a puddle today 🥵

Can't give them frozen bottles, they'll run away.
Can't put them inside, it's warmer inside than outside (no AC). They'll find suitable places in the garden to stay the day by themselves 😉 It's much cooler in their sandpits than indoors.

A world of spiteful children in positions of power should long ago ceased to be shocking. We should no longer be the toys they get to smash their oversize dumper trucks into. We must poison their sandpits. Lace their building blocks with psychoactive substances.

lot’s of kids on my block I wanted to play with but they were all little white boys, and being a little black girl in america is like growing up in a world full of secret sandpits

Any Brisbane Blueskyers have kids or friends/relatives with kids who want some free Tonka trucks? Great for sandpits. Free to pick up and can deliver if need be

Son is 14yo and has finally decided to let them go.

Yeah it's the worst possible time of year to leap like an overexcited gazelle into the sinking sandpits of dieting, "detoxing" and self-improvement. It's a dark and cold and miserable month, especially even contrasted with the vim and vigour of December.
January is not the month for resolutions. We’re all sick, exhausted, cold, broke, depressed and back at work against our will. January *is* the month for outrageous Victorian self-care rituals, because who needs a new gym membership when you can just take a good turn about the room for your agonies.

We “played outside”. It involved sandpits, dolls houses hopscotch and trickes when we were pre teen. Then came boredom, mischief, pranks, fighting, bullying, smoking, drinking, shoplifting and things that go under the general heading of what went on behind the bike shed. Albo is a naive troglodyte.

And it does.

But I have to imagine the enshittification of the radio experience through the hollowing of these values mattered more. There is no guarantee any hit song reaches anyone when everyone lives in walled sandpits and rock gardens of neatly stacked favorites.

«Whales of the Mer Bleue»

The funniest thing is that my husband and I keep a shared list of caper movies because that's a genre I like. So now we can have one of "quiet documentaries," and that really feels like I'm playing in two extremely different sandpits.
One of my favorite documentaries is about a guy who goes into some forest and builds a cabin and we watch him do it and that's basically it.

Recommendations for similar documentaries would be greatly appreciated. The quieter, the less narration, the better.

A batting cage? A sports field?
A sports field is like a golf course but level and without the holes, poles, uneven grass, drunk drivers, and big sandpits everywhere.
