Screen Twitter Marguerite Stern @Margueritestern Je suis fascinée par les images des pompiers, des agriculteurs et des random guys qui luttent contre les feux sous 3h de sommeil. Ça me rappelle à quel point j’aime les hommes. Et à quel point le féminisme est allé trop loin. Dans le sens où globalement, hors quelques exceptions, les femmes n’ont rien à faire sur les lieux des incendies, comme les hommes n’ont rien à faire dans des postes en crèche. Ça n’est pas de la provoc, c’est du pragmatisme.

🚒 RDV avec l'intersyndicale du SDIS pour échanger sur les conditions de travail des sapeurs-pompiers et sapeuses-pompières : encore une fois, ce sont celles et ceux qui nous protègent au quotidien qui paient le prix des coupes budgétaires imposées depuis des années.

Esp. thinking about the Sapeurs (and Sapeuses) in Congo where style, tailoring, often remaking clothes themselves with found garments is self-expression & escape from poverty.
Dandy is about invention ( I still have my first sewing machine!). Which is why choice of afrofuturism is so powerful.
