hello #shadowgast fans of bluesky, please enjoy an old sketch of the wizards i like a lot! just them about to enjoy some together time after some years have gone by. essek is tokyo drifting into his partner's lap

#criticalrole #criticalrolefanart #myart
A digital sketch of the wizards Essek, an elf, and Caleb, a human. They are enjoying a moment together: Essek has drifted into Caleb's lap, interrupting the grading of essays, and is caressing Caleb's lips. His other hand is running through Caleb's hair. Caleb, old enough he needs glasses, is focused on Essek's face, deeply into what Essek is proposing; he has his hand cupping the nape of Essek's neck. They look lovingly at each other, with a sense of promise. The sketch is done in sepia tones with a pink halo around the two main characters.

hey shadowgasts 🫶 i was reminded of this piece today. please enjoy it on bsky as well
#shadowgast #criticalrole #criticalrolefanart #myart
A digital painting of two men in an intimate moment. One man, Essek, is kneeling and has his face pressed to the belly of the other, Caleb. Essek is looking down, anticipatory, into the unbelted trousers of his partner. Only Caleb's scarred torso is visible, but his hand is firmly-yet-gently cupping the back of Essek's head. There are tattoos on Caleb's arm, indicating this is an alternate, evil timeline where he did not renounce being a Scourger. This scene looks like it is mere moments before Essek eagerly bumps up the content warning on this picture from "suggestive" to "porn." #myart

A screenshot from page 3 of a #shadowgast comic I am working on! Read right to left. Essek finds some unexpected spell notes in his study, left over from the last time he had company.

#criticalerolefanart
A screenshot of part of a digital comic. There are three panels, each showing a hand holding a quill. The hand has medium-dark skin and is garbed in a satiny white skeeve, with a fitted portion by the wrist that poofs out around the forearm. In the first panel, the hand is writing on a tan piece of parchment in blue ink. A droplet is about to fall on the page. In the second, the hand has paused, and the droplet has fallen. In the third, the hand lifts the edge of the tan parchment to reveal a pale, note-covered parchment underneath. The notes are written in three different hands, and in the middle, there is an inky paw print.

vethtruvian woman (with helpful additions from two wizards, an alchemist, and a cat)
A close-up shot of spell notes written in three different hands. There is a drawing of Vitruvian Man, but the figure is of a woman. Her boobs are circled in green ink, with a note next to them. If we could read the note, it would say, "Not big enough!" This note is from Veth, the woman pictured. #myart

porting over more art! meeting on the turret stairs, but make it #shadowgast

#criticalrolefanart #criticalrole #saturdayskyart #art
A #shadowgast rendition of the painting "Meeting on the turret stairs." Essek, an elf in sumptuous blue robes, and Caleb, a human in a leather coat over a maroon shirt, share a moment on a stone spiral staircase. Essek is climbing up and Caleb is descending; in the moment of their passing each other, Caleb has clutched Essek's hand in his arms and drawn it to his face. He presses his lips to Essek's forearm like he doesn't wish Essek to leave, but this is the only part of Essek he can reach. Essek has turned his face to the wall with a stricken expression. Neither of them wants the moment to be over, but they cannot stay. In less than a moment after the scene in this painting, they will have departed. The only evidence they were there will be the strand of pearls scattered on the floor: fortune, slipped through their fingers.

Another old #shadowgast painting. Someone has come home late to find someone else very cutely asleep on the couch.

#criticalrole #saturdayskyart
A very domestic digital painting of Caleb and Essek from Critical Role. Caleb is curled on the couch, having fallen asleep while reading. His cat Frumpkin is asleep in his arms (having interrupted said reading). Essek has bent down over the back of the couch to kiss the top of Caleb's head. The scene is lit entirely by candle.

An old #criticalrole painting I made way back when, just before the Mighty Nein reunited with Essek in Eiselcross.

He'd been gone for so long at that point, and I remember pouring all my "please stay narratively relevant and interesting 🥺" hopes into this one! he was a safe staaar

#saturdayskyart
A digital painting of Essek from Critical Role. He is a large figure in the night sky, and in his hands, he holds a glowing orb, within which is shown the Might Nein. As the sky gets closer to the horizon, it lightens into dawn over the snowy landscape of Eiselcross. Tiny figures trudge over the drifts toward each other; the Mighty Nein and Essek, meeting at last after a long absence. The Essek in the sky looks upon his friends with great warmth.
