A federal judge has granted a preliminary injunction to stop the U.S. Department of Labor from shutting down Job Corps, a residential program for low-income youth, until a lawsuit against the move is resolved.

Appalachia was uplifted by FDR’s “New Deal” programs that Trump has systematically obliterated.
It’s a sad irony that Southern Appalachia (AL, NC, TN, GA, KY, WV, VA) is a Trump stronghold:
The region still needs help.

It's official: Despite broad bipartisan support for Job Corps, the centers operated by contractors (about 80%) are being shuttered by June 30.
That leaves 24 centers that are part of the Civilian Conservation Corps and operated by @altusfs.altgov.info.
