I haven’t turned it on yet! I’m reading the manual and getting the SD card all loaded up. This is the future of radio SdR merged with a computer #sBitx

Yup, sbitx seems to be solid and costs substantially more compared to the zbitx.
Which is a shame as I can't see a use case for the sbitx, but could for the Zed.

Upgrade done! Had to open it up after all. USB drive kept erroring out when I was flashing it. #sBitx #amateurradio #hamradio

The sBitx V3…which seemed better and more bug free (at this point) than the zBitx. A little bigger and heavier..but with 20-30W under the cover

The sbitx gets good reviews and if there is a v2 zbitx they may have ironed out the flaws.
As far as mine, i am big enough to say I bought it, but the money could have been better spent elsewhere.

The v2 version is supposed to be much better too. I have an sBitX v3 - bigger and up to 40W of power (although I’d probably keep to 20W or lower most of the time. For the money I think they are pretty good value.

Yeah, bands are kinda hammered this weekend.
I've been entertaining myself with shack maintenance stuff. Had to replace a coax connector, upgrade SBitX software and firmware, etc.

I’ve got a few weeks before I will start building mine (still have a few more weeks of work before I retire)…I think I will probably still build for 12V, but I’ll do a bit more reading. In the meantime I want to play with other toys (e.g sBitX) and work on an antenna for mobile operation…
