Scage Future (Nasdaq: SCAG) announced that its subsidiary Guizhou Scage Tech entered into a cooperation agreement with China Huaye Group. Signed on September 22, 2026, the agreement is a non-binding framework with a tentative one-year term covering infrastructure, mining, renewable energy and other business areas.Scage Future is exploring an initial deployment of up to 1,000 electric heavy-duty trucks for mining transportation, subject to project requirements and financing availability. Specific projects require separate definitive agreements after both parties complete internal approvals; the framework does not constitute a truck order.

SCAG staff outlined a methodology and schedule for regional transit TAM and safety targets, coordinating with county transportation commissions and transit operators using the TransAM portal; draft targets are expected April 2027 with final drafts by June 2027 for Connect SoCal 2050.

SCAG staff told the Transportation Committee the region could expect roughly $1.38 billion in the FFY 2029–30 STBG and CMAQ cycle and proposed program guidelines and a call for project nominations, with workshops in January 2027 and an application window from Feb. 1 to April 2, 2027.

SCAG staff presented updates on operations-and-maintenance forecasting for Connect SoCal 2050 and an Oxford Economics review of construction-cost drivers, noting O&M represented about $454.3 billion in the last plan and staff are preparing new forecasts in light of escalating labor, commodity, and resiliency costs.

Mayor Wendy Bucknam reported that state housing numbers for the Southern California region are "about 20,000 higher than the last cycle" and said the RHNA subcommittee recommended challenging the methodology at SCAG; the issue will go to the larger SCAG body next week.
