The angle isn’t the same but it gives me a thrill to match up #POW artwork with the actual locations at #SchlossColditz!

One of the missing things at #SchlossColditz is that we were told that the 80 French #Jews were taken from their kinsmen, at the request of some of the French, and put in the attic in an area called ‘the ghetto’. We heard no more about them. What’s the story?

They have an escape museum at #SchlossColditz, set up by the German guards during the war so they could get wise to prisoner ingenuity. It’s still there. Look at the examples of faked uniforms here! 😍
