At no point since then has Mike Schur stopped making shows

Ok I’m here. Mostly so I can follow Mike Schur again.

You're a witch, Schur
I know it's silly to play "on pace for" games, but Baez is 23 years old. If he has a 17 year career and reaches, say, 10,000 plate appearances, he is on pace to total 10,000 home runs.
JOSHUA BÁEZ, ARE YOU KIDDING?!

2 at-bats, 2 HOMERS in his MLB debut!

Legend Mike Schur. Puts its as plainly as possible, talking about hollywood mergers.

“They’re bad for everyone except those at the very top – the billionaires who saddle the new companies with debt and profit handsomely from the pain the rest of us feel.”

If you're interested in more on the business model that took over TV as streaming ascended, I talked to Parks & Rec/Good Place creator Mike Schur about this model, a "bait & switch" & how all this affected the medium/writing for TV (from 2020 but still relevant): www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/20...

👇 big-time TV exec / showrunner Mike Schur sounding off on David Zaslav's $886 million payday for selling Warner Bros to Paramount
Just an absolute vacuum cleaner, sucking cash out of the company while leaving its creative teams and executives begging for scraps. Zero added value to one of the greatest brands in Hollywood history.
For his part in failing to reduce WBD's debt before selling to Paramount, WBD CEO David Zaslav is hoping for a $886 million payment package.

In many ways, that was the promise of streaming! Creative people were excited about tailoring a season to what it needed to be, not what external factors demanded. But unfortunately, that was a false promise, as Mike Schur explained a while back www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/20...

Guess I’m giving that new Michael Schur show a skip.
Hugh Laurie is a transphobe. Didn't see that coming but probably should have. Super disappointing.

Very brave piece by Mike Schur, this. And of course he's right, as any cinemagoer can tell:

"A Man on the Inside" on Netflix is an extremely Michael Schur series, and I mean that in a positive way.
