If I make it to your book talk on Friday, we can have a hug about it, if you like. I know that's not enough, but it's what I can offer.

(If the management at ScienceBlogs had a nickel for every time...)

Picture the Sahara: endless sand, right? 6,000 years ago it was rivers, giant lakes, hippos and swimmers. Rock paintings still show it. Earth's wobble turned the rains on — then off. Deserts are temporary. 📚 Source: Nature / ScienceBlogs

Thanks a lot. I put SO much effort into this over the years, only to then see it all ruined when the various companies I was working for (ScienceBlogs and Scientific American) just deleted or lost stuff wholesale.

If an account called ScienceBlogs can't identify obvious confounding variables, or understand association =/= causation, we shouldn't be surprised when the public is swayed by fallacious arguments about increased vaccines and autism rates.

This is why science education is critical in our schools!
