Welp now that I'm caught up I'm going to go get some bleach, scotchbrite, and whatever tools I need to pop my brain out of my skull so I can scrub that bitch smooth and forget all of this

And finally, with the help of a dozen plus Scotchbrite pads to pull up the last bits, the paint finally gave up the ghost.

Third coat on. Between this and the next coat (this one will get extra time to cure as we’re headed out of town) I’ll rub it down with a green scotchbrite pad, then apply one more coat of regular.

After that, one more pass with the scotchbrite, then a wax coat.

For how hard it is to glue both materials, cleaning silicone residue off of stainless steel is tricky.

You can scrape most of it off with a single edge razor, but the razor dulls and stops working quickly, and the very thin residue can be removed with sandpaper and scotchbrite, but laboriously.

One other thing to check for (aside from the warped rotors and headstock bearings others have already mentioned) is glazed brake rotors.

Checking is essentially done by removing any glaze; this can be accomplished by scrubbing them with a scotchbrite pad and brake cleaner.

Lots of very fine sanding (0000 steel wool and super fine scotchbrite) and repeated coats of isopropyl alcohol mixed with brown and amber leather dye. (Rubbed in, wiped off, repeat…)
Quite cool. How do you age the plastic?

How it's going. I say, this wheel paint covers a multitude of sins.

In fairness, these were scrubbed with Traffic Film Remover, then scoured with it, using red Scotchbrite, then degreased and this is two coats in.

Morning MJ & all. Spring returns; mid-upper 70s all week. Now if we could just get some April showers? As in a slow all night soak?
Drawers installed, fronts off old drawers, scrubbed with ammonia solution and Scotchbrite, ready for some sanding. Litter pickup, today looks like best this week.

Machine wax, frequent use, a little bit of oil, and scotchbrite.

A little circular motion with Scotchbrite will get any pesky spots out.

Probably just a little scotchbrite or steel wool.

Dawn sponges allow you to use less soap and water when doing dishes, but Scotchbrite scours better. In case anyone was wondering.

Here we are, rebuilding a Kawasaki KX 125 from 2003. Frame is powder coated and the swingarm is brushed with scotchbrite. Check this amazing result!

This is reminding me of the time i was SO ITCHY from winter skin dryness that i had my then-partner go at my back with a Scotchbrite pad. Never, ever do this.

I’ve removed all of the rust and brought the skillet to bare metal (or close enough) using foam sanding blocks (in medium and fine grit) and a grey Scotchbrite pad.

Bare iron starts rusting immediately, so I and put the skillet into the (preheated to 175°F) oven to dry after a final rinse.

The scrub daddy thing is way worse than a standard 3m scotchbrite at every application i have tried

I've used a variety of items for body scrubbers, including ScotchBrite. ATM, I have a favorite brush.

some extra thoughts after sleeping
If you do want to strip off the chemically resistant coating, I would guess the most convenient method would be a belt sander with a scotchbrite belt
Here are the results of trying to dye an outsert that had been tortured, sanded and somewhat polished. Roughly 5 minutes of cooking.
It is terrible. It stains better in places that got sanded more, but even so it becomes too opaque too fast
