A huge seagrape tree (Coccoloba uvifera).
It usually grows close to the shore, highly tolerant of salt spray, helping to protect the coastline.
As kids, we spent long summers harvesting and eating these fruits. They turn dark purple when ripe, and make an intoxicating local wine. 🌱

✨saw a cloud that looks like a cloud giant in a fencing stance
✨searched for sea treasures because I'm a goblin
✨pretended to be a little mermaid sitting on a rock with fish swimming around me
✨did not get hit by a falling seagrape
