At Ratho the arch of Rusacks Bridge has rope marks from when canal barges were pulled by horses. The building in the photograph was once used as the stables so it could be a suitable location for a horse statue but probably too narrow.

We were delighted to get our first barge trip of the year underway, with our Monday members enjoying a lovely day out on the water. There was plenty of chat, laughter, and of course a chance to sit back and enjoy the scenery.
