Metroidvania is a dumb, but charming term that carries history. It has perhaps outlived its natural life span, but oh my god Search Action is a disgusting fucking term, like calling sausages 'stuffed pig guts'
The reason FPS caught on is because its a better name. The reason "search action" hasn't is because it isnt better.
