No, they don't run their own data centers. Microsoft owns and runs Stargate, and they lease capacity from Oracle. The only metal they touch is dev/test, and per their disclosures, their SecOps and DevSecOps is a fucking clown show over there.

The Ultimate Cyber Operator’s Toolkit: Leveraging 50+ Essential Web Services for OSINT, SecOps, and Developer Automation + Video
Introduction: Modern cybersecurity operations, OSINT investigations, and secure software development require a wide array of specialized tools to analyze digital assets and automate workflows. While web applications provide convenient user interfaces for everyday tasks, integrating these endpoints directly into enterprise infrastructure via scripting, command-line interfaces, and API integrations enables continuous threat intelligence gathering and endpoint hardening. This comprehensive breakdown transforms a collection of high-utility web tools into an operational, enterprise-ready technical security framework.

Great stack. The next step is orchestration: using APIs to build 'agentic' loops that trigger these tools automatically. That’s how you scale SecOps without scaling headcount.

Google SecOps Log Exporting: UDM Search, Data Export API, and UI Workflows + Video
Introduction: Making Security Telemetry Accessible Google Security Operations (Google SecOps) provides multiple ways to extract security telemetry for investigation, threat hunting, incident response, compliance, and external analytics. Security teams can export logs through Unified Data Model (UDM) searches, the Data Export API, or the platform's graphical interface. However, choosing the correct export method requires understanding the differences between normalized and raw data, access permissions, output formats, and platform-imposed result limits.

This is pretty much how I learned my AI workflow. 👍 One thing I found useful, is create memory-less agents and give them roles like CEO, SecOps, etc. For fun I give them some character, 'elaborating architect', 'gruff but fair CEO'. For some reason AI seems to keep the perspective separate better.

Maybe my grammar failing to parse, it could you clarify what you mean my “pushing out”? Could mean “hastily enacting” or “removing” - I think you mean the latter but wanted to be sure. Would love to use this mini thread in next week’s SecOps Weekly show - mirrors our points nicely.

The atlas and phone number comparison is the useful part. Those skills faded because practice moved elsewhere, not because they were useless. The same risk sits in SecOps when AI takes over the daily reps that keep core capabilities sharp.
