we know most people refer to SecUnit by its internal name but it doesn't like being called that by humans that haven't been given permission so we will always call it SecUnit unless Martha Wells herself tells us that it would be okay with using the other name

I think SecUnit has robot feet. There's a bit (perhaps in the shop scene in Exit Strategy) where he buys shoes to fit in, and it's mentioned.

It was clear that even after seeing my face on Volescu’s camera video, they didn’t recognize me without the helmet. So then I had to look at them and say, “I’m your SecUnit.”

Everybody looked at me again. Arada did the lip-biting thing. “You brought them to SecUnit. Because you knew SecUnit would be able to handle the situation.”

I was a little worried the hair on my head would be noticed. After Milu, I had made it this length so I wouldn’t look like a SecUnit and now I had to look like a SecUnit again.

we never heard of Murderbot until the tv series but we soon went and read all of the books bc we relate so hard to SecUnit lmao

I considered the installation of 'classy cover flaps' from a SecUnit perspective.
A strong military upgrade that seemed worthwhile.
I sensed ART on the feed raising an imaginary eyebrow.
I ran a quick diagnostic.
I was moving in the right direction.
The squishy humans seemed supportive.
Camouflage?
