A severe flood triggered by heavy rainfall in Yobe State, Nigeria, resulted in the deaths of a security operative and a teenager in the Pompomari area. The Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) confirmed the fatalities of Isa Haruna, 38, a security personnel known as Mallam Matari, and 18-year-old Abba Kyari. The incident occurred after torrential downpour caused widespread flooding in Malari, Pompomari, and neighboring communities. SEMA deployed search and rescue teams alongside the Yobe State Fire Service following distress calls from residents. Both victims were recovered dead and transported to the nearest hospital.
