Some things I saw on my walk today (which was a rather nice day). #photography #streetphotography #Toronto #Torontostreets #seenwhilewalking
Lineup at an ice cream truck beside Withrow Park on the first hot day of the year. The grass is lush and green but the trees are still bare. Some spilled candies strewn about on the sidewalk. An election sign for the local liberal candidate in the 2025 Canadian federal election, beside a hand lettered sign listing historic milestones in Canadian democracy. Assorted stuffed toys in the window of a store in Danforth Avenue near Broadview. The one that caught my eye was the big green frog wearing headphones. 🐸

Thing I saw on my walk this evening.

I haven't posted much lately because I haven't had much to post. Early spring where I live is a visual washout (grey skies and mud) but all of a sudden in the past week or two, green is popping out everywhere. #photography #streetphotography #seenwhilewalking
4 small sad pickles (or gherkins if you prefer) in a line from lower left to to top right, at the edge of the road by the curb. Also a few bits of broken glass. Almost like someone dropped a jar of pickles there yesterday and it hasn't been cleared up yet.

Some things I found on the ground last week. #thingsIfindontheground #seenwhilewalking #photography
A broken plastic toy bee on the pavement A red maple leaf with yellow spots on the sidewalk A spider decoration with glowing red eyes in someone's front garden. It's pretty scary. A white tarp with Donald Trump's face painted on it with a gaping mouth you try to throw frisbees into

More stuff from past walks.

#photography #streetphotography #Toronto #Torontostreetphotography #seenwhilewalking
Mostly bare trees in a city park, and a bus shelter, seen from across the street in late afternoon light Statues and a vase of branches with coloured maple leaves in a shop window. There is a sticker on the window that reads "shop local" A sad looking plush yellow duck and an angry looking plastic Pokemon type thing (not sure which one, I was a 70s/80s kid) looking out a shop window. A MFT mirrorless camera and a festive winter coffee cup on a cafe table looking out the window on a snowy day

2 round flat red things about the size of a bar stool seat (which is what I think they actually are) leaning against a utility pole on the sidewalk. The visible one has the Coca- Cola logo and the words "drink Coke" on it. Ladybird beetles clustered on a piece of driftwood on the beach A slightly rusty muffler from a car on the edge of a sidewalk, with fallen leaves, grass and some plants around it. A dead fish on the beach. It's fairly large and looks to be some kind of salmonid.

Some pictures from various walks both recent and not so recent. #photography #streetphotography #Toronto #Torontostreetphotography #seenwhilewalking
An urban river in autumn with trees growing along the banks and apartment buildings and a bridge in the distance A round convex mirror surrounded by foliage. Reflected in it are a garage, more leaves, and part of the photographer and his bicycle. Sign in a window saying "Come In WE ARE AWESOME". There is some condensation on the inside of the window and it is reflecting some of the street. A plastic skeleton head, arms and shoulders with its hands on its head and red eyes, with a creepy doll head behind it, on a table outside with other Halloween decorations visible on the wall behind it.

A Lorax statuette standing next to a small tree in someone's garden A sticker with a cartoonish drawing of a bee and the word "kind" below. Get it? Bee kind. A view over Lake Ontario with a Canadian flag attached to a piece of driftwood sticking out of the water that somebody stuck there on Canada Day a couple of years ago. A sticker stuck to a pole with a drawing of a ghost hovering over a rectangular object. The ghost has its hands raised and the captions say "wash your hands!" and "soap ghost".

Some more things I saw on walks (and a streetcar ride) earlier this year but never got around to posting. #photography #torontophotography #streetphotography #seenwhilewalking #toronto #torontostreetphotography
A broken mirror on the sidewalk with a vague reflection of the photographer and his bicycle A sandy beach with a red lifeguard tower, with a sky of broken cloud. The tower is surrounded by red and yellow triangular shapes made of wood, as part of the "Winter Stations" art installation at Woodbine Beach in Toronto. A turquose painted storefront with a neon sign saying "CASK MUSIC" in the window. It's a sunny day but it must have snowed recently because there are icicles hanging from the roof and snowbanks all around.
