seishirou sakurazuka from X/1999 edited with completely black eyes for epitaph seisub fanfic on ao3 excerpt from Epitaph, a Seishirou x Subaru fanfic on ao3: "He wanted Subaru to inherit his eye. It seemed most fitting that he would lose both his eyes for Sumeragi Subaru. There was a poetic symmetry in their ending that he appreciated. This tragic tale of blinded love made for a good story: a half-blind man, a blinded love, a blind heart. Love and hate that were indiscriminately felt and blinding in their power. Such was the stuff of romance novels. Who were they? What had they been doing? They had been fighting an enemy that did not exist. Subaru had changed, Subaru had existed all the time. Therein laid reality— he had not seen Subaru, and Subaru had not seen him. They had met in the dark and had fought in the dark, not knowing whom they met nor whom they fought."

Man, seeing art of Subaru Sumeragi just makes me sad we still haven't gotten a proper Tokyo Babylon anime. On the other hand, I worry that if we did people would lose their minds over fans shipping seisub because of the age gap when that is the LEAST problematic thing about their ship lol

#SeiSub #星昴 #TokyoBabylon #X1999 #東京BABYLON
fan comic panels for Seishirou x Subaru from Tokyo Babylon/X1999 edited for Epitaph fanfic on ao3 excerpt from Seishirou x Subaru Tokyo Babylon/X1999 fanfic Epitaph on ao3: "t was just as the witch Yuuko promised, Seishirou’s body in exchange for something— Subaru couldn’t recall the exact terms of the deal, but whatever price he paid, it was worth it. The relief he felt was palpable; like the fist over his heart had finally unclenched itself. Seishirou was here. He was here, lying next to him in the garden. They had been sleeping together underneath the blossoms, just like Seishirou-san had promised a long time ago. The Sakurazukamori always slept together with their victims under the great tree, he explained to Subaru before. What belonged to the Sakura was eternal, what soul or life a Sakurazukamori could have was merely fleeting. Subaru wrapped his arms possessively around Seishirou, half-dragging, half-pulling him towards his chest until Seishirou’s head laid on Subaru’s shoulder. Death made the body heavier, removing life and adding weight to the corpse. No one could take him away now, not even the Sakura. Subaru simply held him in repose, as if they were repeating the same scene on Rainbow Bridge. Perhaps, for Subaru, that day at Rainbow Bridge had never ended. The shortest afternoon that turned into the longest night. Perhaps the day had wound backwards just enough for the moment of his death. The moment Seishirou’s heart stopped his body stopped like clock hands that stood still. "
