Thought provoking symposium on "invisible pregnancies" at #SER2024. Early pregnancy loss is often unevenly captured or not captured at all in existing databases, introducing bias into research. The goal is to describe the world as it is. Descriptive epidemiology is not causal. It can be about hypotheses generation. Beautiful visualization doesn’t mean they are trustworthy. But people are more likely to believe it.
