Oh no! Its so hard to find an effective psyc med, then this kinda carp happens! ☹️ Seroquel was A.MA.ZING. for me for...2 weeks. Then my hashi's riddled thyroid said "NOPE." Apparently thyroid inflammation is a side effect. 🤦🏽♀️ I hope this isnt the meds if they're working well for you otherwise!

I take it as needed when my body needs an insomnia shutoff button-- Nightmares are definitely more frequent when it's in my system, so I tend to only take it for a couple of weeks at a time maximum.
I used to take Seroquel as my shutoff button however my dreams were so vivid I decided to stop

Sometimes that gets prescribed off label for insomnia but the company that makes seroquel actually got sued because for a while they marketed it that way as being good for insomnia and it is just so bad for your body like tons of nasty side effects that can even be lethal.

From one insomniac to another- I’m so sorry. 😭 I remember at one point taking 100mg melatonin and 50mg Benadryl desperately trying to fall asleep. I tried Ambien but holy shit the side effects. I did get some relief with Seroquel but I become resistant to medication super fast so it stopped working

I honestly don't understand why I have an ongoing prescription of 100 mg seroquel bc I take 200 mg extended release (single pill) and 50 mg regular (two 25 mg pills)... where does the 100 come into play...

I read that the half life for the regular seroquel is 6 hrs and for extended it's 7, meaning by 7 hours the dosage is reduced to 50% and after another 7 another 50% etc., so by 14 hrs only 25% remains and 21 only 12.5%, and it makes a lot of sense why, if I take it later than usual--
