If I had my druthers, I would make a Resi 1 style movie, with a much more constrained location, no grand scale setpieces so I could focus the budget on making more Screaming Mad George style goop monsters.

That's really it. The other setpieces are so amazing (Circe, the steel giants, the cyclops) that I was disappointed by one of them. Review over, good movie.
