When will this ghost of you stop haunting me?

A photo of Milan (a male elezen from ffxiv) and Silver (a male Shetona from ffxiv). Silver has an expression of wonder and whimsy as he looks out towards the horizon. Milan's expression is warm, happy, and content. A photo of Milan (a male elezen from ffxiv) and Shalohe (a male Shetona from ffxiv). The overall tone of the picture is darker and colder. Shalohe is transparent, as though Milan were seeing a ghost of a memory. Milan's expression is thoughtful and mournful.

Don't go, please, I still haven't said—

shalohe (grey, feather-haired viera) sits on a beach while milan (offscreen) films him. he notices the camera and scoffs, "Should you be wasting all your storage on my face? Film the view." Milan replies, "What if I like this view better?" which catches Shalohe off guard. Shalohe tilts his head with a slight blush on his cheeks and smiles, "Hah! Who taught you that? Next time just say 'I love you.'" the next panel is of a phone screen on which Shalohe's smiling face is paused Milan (sandy-haired elezen) looks hollowly down at the phone screen and taps Shalohe's frozen cheek. his face is red and his eyes are sunken and teary Milan sits in front of a thin window with a cityscape before him, alone in a dark room. he says, shoulders trembling as he cries, "I love you..."

— "For however deep the void, or wide the expanse, there is no shore so distant as to be beyond the reach of light."

made myself sick editing this actually (sifting through cutscenes is so hard)

milan and shalohe spent what felt like a lifetime together, only for milan to be left alone when despair took shalohe in the final days—until he reached solution nine and found a painfully familiar face looking back at him 🐝

Milan's grades are passable but he's not exactly...studious.

A serene photo of Milan (sandy haired elezen in a black jacket with a white hoodie underneath) asleep in Shalohe's (a gray haired viera wearing the school uniform, his tie is loose and his shirt sloppy) lap while Silver (a gray haired viera wearing a school uniform with no tie--he is neatly dressed) holds a book in his arms and looks on in mild frustration.
