The insulation is 100% wool which has been treated with borax to stop it getting eaten by moths. Smells great, and is nice to handle as not itchy like glass fibre or rockwool

What I ❤️ are the different colours and patterns though! Assume different flocks and breeds? Would love to know which was which.

I'm picturing many petticoats and long overcoats.
Also a lot of wool, perhaps with mammoth wool being favoured. Is it really any warmer than sheepswool? No idea. But the people of Zonhaspalis might think it does, and thus seek it out.

I guess the bit of lore I have here is just "there are mammoths!". I imagine shearing mammoths is roughly like shearing sheep, except of course, they are bigger. I don't know how similar mammoth wool is to sheepswool to work with, so I can't really comment on that. (5/13)

Tah-dah! The Romney hogget t-shirt I started when I had my accident is finished. The measurements were taken off another t-shirt and while it's OK it do with a wee bit more around the sleeves. Will post another picture when it's dyed.

We used a borate woodworm preventative treatment 20 yrs ago on some new oak which is now showing plenty of woodworm holes
I dont have confidence it would work any better in sheepswool

Being a women of 1ooo crafts i taught myself knitting after crocheting since childhood. Recently i discovered untreated spun sheepswool and i don t want to go back(so expens.) Its soft, and warm and natural. Sadly i am bad in finishing projects.
Also want to learn to spin, hope it sticks.
