the very rectangular red robot head above the dagashiya in shibamata outside the shibamata haikara yokochou dagashiya, a coke vending machine in front. this place is so cool, there's a toy museum on the second floor, and space invaders, vs. super mario bros, and pinball machines in the back. the statue of tora from the otoko wa tsurai yo films in the background shot from the back of the statue of his sister. i'm always trying to make this shot work, maybe next time. some folks in red happi and drums in front of the gate to the shopping street outside the station, preparing for a festival

Shibamata fireworks last night. Five second exposures from very far away on the free observation deck at Solamachi I keep telling you about. A thread I suppose.
Fireworks over city lights. Left is exploding yellow and red. Right explodes yellow and purple. Some hot pink beams shooting up below them. Firework that looks sort of like a giant butterfly, facing downward on its way to attack the Tokyo nightscape. Very very pink things exploding! Many red and green explosions in the air. Too many to count. Like Christmas but not.
