my band Shinlifter are playing at Home Bar in Edinburgh this Friday if anyone fancies letting off some end-of-the-month steam to cacophonous jams about rival 90s animated films, as sampled here

my band Shinlifter have their EP launch on Saturday and with impeccable timing our Instagram has been hacked so we’ve lost our main channel for promoting it. if anyone wanted to help share this brilliant poster by my pal Grace there, here or elsewhere we’d be very grateful!

As it's #BandcampFriday here's a thread of things I've enjoyed a lot over last few months:
1. Shinlifter - Percolator
Edinburgh's finest release a single & inevitably it's great

The band I've seen more than any other exemplify the scene with @oliviafurey.bsky.social proving good and hyperspecific lyrics are still possible and @balumcarnes.bsky.social drumming driving it on

Shinlifter tonight at Leith Depot, get this band in front of bigger crowds in bigger venues over bigger speakers; if you like incredibly spidery, urgent, poetic artrock then book them for birthdays/weddings/bar mitzvahs nowww

I can't really express how good Shinlifter are live, navigating Fugazi/Buzzcocks/Sonic Youth/Slits/Bikini Kill but also super contemporary. Everyone is disgustingly talented.
