Posit cloud is the larger product, but as a user the same limitations as on shinyapps still apply. It's not your server, the number of domains and apps are limited, and user hours are capped. Lightbulb is a deployment convenience tool for a server you also control.

Thanks! I ended up going with the Claude-assisted route, and yes, I learned a lot too. About 5h to make the app, another 1-2h to get it in a form small enough for shinyapps to run (read: remove Stan, replace with MH sampler)

I don't miss shinyapps at all. I don't even think about "publishing" anymore, I just push to my repo and my app updates immediately, it's so great. Do your apps get more than 20 hours of use each month? The manifest was painless to create, too.

is shinyapps.io deprecated to make way for Connect Cloud? I'm used to publishing to shinyapps from RStudio but just realized that it's not available in #positron right now.
