In edh I played Shirokai for a bit, but had to stop because it was really dragging games out.

I used to have more combo focus decks, like Emry, Naru Meha, and Shirokai, but (some) EDH players are babies. Like, there is an LGS near me that bans infinite combos altogether, it's ridiculous. I don't play there very often. If I was playing 60 card formats you better believe I'd be jamming combos.

Of these, Shirokai was probably my favorite. It's gimmick was that it was a vehicle deck that ran zero creatures, that way I could set up to take infinite turns using proteus staff + beacon of tomorrow

I just wanted an excuse to put as many big mechs as i could in a single deck when i built shirokai lol xD

If we're going to be technical, we could say Jeleva was my first too. But I changed commanders pretty quick with that precon.

Always thought about building Shirokai. Never pulled the trigger on them.

Everyone was at equal footing and no one was really making moves. The Shirokai player was able to turn their army of artifacts into creatures and killed my other opponents, but was not able to kill me. I had a strong, unblockable creature and another that prevented him from having a combat phase.

GAME 4
The Animar/Zaxara player dipped, so we were back down to 4 players.

Krenko was piloted by Shirokai/Seifer.
Genku was piloted by Iron Spider.
Huatli was up to no good again.

Krenko did the thing, ended up making 14 goblin tokens at one point.

GAME 3
Iron Spider was still Iron Spider (new deck, had to test it). Unagi swapped to Huatli, Shirokai swapped to Seifer, and Animar swapped to Zaxara. Zaxara was getting mana screwed, then mana flooded. Rough. Seifer was a Dragon's Approach deck but he wasn't popping off like he should.
