3sixrecordings I JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM TUNECORE PUBLISHING, SAYING THAT 4 OF MY TUNES HAVE BEEN REJECTED BECAUSE THEY CONTAIN "SUBSTANTIAL AI USE" ONE PROBLEM: 3 OF THE 4 TUNES WERE WRITTEN OVER A DECADE AGO, BEFORE THIS AI HELLSCAPE WE'RE LIVING IN WAS EVEN A THING. THE OTHER TUNE HAS ZERO AI USE IN IT, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER PIECE OF MUSIC I'VE RELEASED, OR WILL RELEASE IN THE FUTURE. 1/5 3sixrecordings SO RIGHT NOW, I AM LOSING PUBLISHING ROYALTIES ON MY MUSIC, ALL BECAUSE AN AI-DRIVEN ANALYTICAL TOOL IS APPARANTLY DETECTING AI IN MUSIC, EVEN THOUGH THE METADATA + PUBLISHING DATE IS PLAINLY VISIBLE FOR ALL TO SEE. AN AI ALGORITHM IS NOW DECIDING WHETHER AN ARTIST SHOULD BE PAID FOR THEIR WORK OR NOT. 3sixrecordings 3/5 THERE'S NO REPLY ADDRESS, AND NO WAY TO APPEAL THIS.
