I actually have a family tree for my shlorpians! Despite shlorpians generally not having that family thing, a few of mine have siblings. Max and Mal are twins (grew and were born connected to each other), and Ben and Yaz are adoptive siblings and have that human-equivalent close sibling bond.

Solar opposites giving conflicting lore is kinda funny when both can exist at the same time. Korvo says he has 3 hearts in the train ep, but then the valentines special he says shlorpians have 9. These can coexist I just simply want to know WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR OTHER 6 HEARTS

While I hate to say "end", Solar Opposites. It tied together the loose ends it'd been tying together for seasons about why their planets get destroyed, and it fulfilled literally every main character. Korvo gets to interact with other shlorpians, Terry is a famous author, the replicants are at uni.

Vesper shlorpians have a short pregnancy (about half the length of a human's) followed by live birth as an adaptation to poor soil conditions for growing seeds/replicants. Aran went through it with his daughter Willow, and it was a little rougher on him due to her hybrid status.

My ideal ending for solar opposites would be the pupa to not terraform, but rather the solars establish a community on earth for the other surviving shlorpians from other teams. so they make a shlorp but on earth

Another Solar Opposites oc, Treble. She's a member of my vesper shlorpians and colors inspired by the "broken tulips" phenomenon where tulips get sick and their colors start to break. It also weakens the plant, and she has a degenerative disorder.

Just some musing on the Silvercops arc in Solar Opposites now that I've had sufficient time to sit on and digest the season finale/season 6 as a whole.
I was thinking about how brilliant, intended or not, the initial setup of the Silvercops arc in Solar Opposites is. You first see them in 99 Ships where they're apprehending shlorpians. And that sucks, and theyre cops, but you gotta also consider that shlorpians for each planet terraformed are causing mass extinction death events. Even on a non-settled planet, billions of animal lives are lost as is a unique ecosystem. Like shlorpians are in fact literally killing large chunks of the galaxy. And you start to wonder is that okay to apprehend them? But then you watch further and the silvercops plot continues on, and we see just how corrupt these guys are. Season 3 after 99 Ships shows us the fact they have corrupt *members*, who are going to throw Glen to the wolves for their own gain. Season 4 shows us how they as a *larger organization* gentrify and push out a minority as well as manipulate members within the group of the minority to traffic drugs and then blame the minority. Season 5 shows that they literally manufacture war through propaganda, and the futility of attempting to change such corruption from the inside. It can only be burned away and removed entirely. It's an expertly told little side story, that across the seasons evolves into opening more about what the silvercops are about. In all honesty, their shlorpian scam wasnt a surprise at all but a confirmation and culmination of what the silvercops do, what they *are*. We are shown in each episode how they escalate and wait, its not just a few bad guys, its not just a bad group, they're ALL bad. I don't actually think more episodes would have added to that plot. It's done really well. And it honestly all starts with an episode, 99 Ships, having a moment that makes you doubt the shlorpians total innocence in this all. Because thats what the silvercops *want you to believe*. Fuck, man. It really forces you to challenge how you react to and view these silvercops brutalizing people and how theres no depth to which they will stoop to do it. They appear justified at the very beginning, if you wiggle your hand and don't get involved, but with each layer of the onion peeled back you see more of the rot. Its so reflective of real life situations. I LOVE this arc man I LOVE the writers who did this.

Mallian is a shlorpian who lives life to the fullest, and loves the fun and silly. She's capable of being just as serious as her twin brother Max but that's incredibly rare. Traveling with Dom, Ben, and Yaz post destruction of Shlorp, the family has settled on Earth for many years now.
