The Hungarian version is "shoemaker, stay with the shoelast" which may come from the same Latin phrase I didn't even know existed 🤷

Every time I buy a new standard shoelast, I'm baffled by how narrow they are. No foot is that narrow!
I have big feet, but even if not, I'd have to slap so much cork on there for bulking... *eyeroll*
They just often default to the smallest, daintiest idea of a foot...
