The Polson 70's 1472 inspection is moving right along and Porter 5's firebox is looking better than ever with new patches welded in place.

If i do commit to this, it will be nothing but shopwork for a whole week haha.
Dumb idea for future me: wall to wall cube shelves. So i can optimise storage space.
Of course, its an optimisation problem to get the right proportions. A third of my books are quartos, the rest are octavos or duodecimo or sextodecimo. LP fits the quarto size, but the EP’s won’t fit 16mo hole.

Still a work in progress but I'm doing this Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea sub for a customer at the shop and I'm lighting the cabin up with fiber optics to simulate the control panels. For a first time working with them I'm pretty happy with the result so far

Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I make a beeline for particular people in local shops. I’ve done shopwork, I know how hard it is, but I did try to be nice to people, especially those who were nice to me.
