somewhat glad i'm still mostly off the shortforms these days, because i have once again found myself having complicated feelings about a rat critic's post (in this case the recent gyges thread)

however, this change will only work if i get off the shortforms. it is too easy for me, when i’m on these sites, to go right back to my old habits and start screaming at people once more. thus, i plan to remain on the longforms going forward, where i can think and write longer.

Gonna put the cash aside to get a high quality mic, get a professional quality demo for myself, take proper headshots and also use my shortforms/social media to create usable content to work towards it.
Not saying it'll be easy, Im saying I have the capability, so I owe MYSELF the effort of trying.

This is another shortform that has real money behind it. Or at least a stylish director. Just speculating, but is there a chance they're looking plusher because the balance is shifting toward shortforms in terms of viewing figures?
