It's done! The blue trim has been knitted on all of the edges, the buttons are sewn on and it's been blocked. It's already in the mail to my daughter. Lately I'm sending her one knit a week lol help!

Variegated yarn can make short rows easier to work. Here I need to SSK the last st of the previous short row with an extra st, easily seen here by the white & blue st. You can also see a gap right after the white, another sign. Not having to count EVERY st in the row helps! #knitting #shortrows 🧶

Extended out the bumpy lines! The green now goes from 2 row bumps up to 5 row bumps and then back down. The grey is the same 1 row throughout. Thoughts? Opinions? General words of encouragement? #knitting #shortrows 🧶

The Lindal Crew Socks represent my first foray into writing a pattern for sock knitting. They are knit entirely sideways, flat, starting from the center of the back, and then grafted.

Part of their “Making Tracks” collection in “Leaves in the Brook” colorway. This DK weight fiber is made with 100% American Falkland Wool. Please note that this weight yarn is not drafted on the pattern, but I have created a separate Ravelry project page for it with notes and gauge. If you want to work with a heavier yarn such as a DK or worsted weight, I suggest going up needle sizes. This version was knit on US6, but could just as easily have been done on US8, and been incredibly beautiful! The heavier the yarn weight, the fuller it will look around the neck. This version is very cozy and warm, and Junction Fiber Mill offers so many beautiful gradient options. Be sure to check them out!

I'm knitting a sock with a construction method I've never done before. You knit the toebox, then shortrows+increases for the entire sole, then srs for the heel, then knitting in the round for the heel & instep. I'm trying to trust the process but it's weird!
